Teacher
Karyn began her yoga journey with 90 Degrees around 2019. Inspired by her mother, who was a long time yogi, she found that the practice brought her the peace and balance for which she had always longed. When her mom’s Alzheimer’s took a turn during Covid in 2020, Karyn was thrown into the most challenging time of her life. In a word, yoga and her family at 90 Degrees was her saving grace during this dark time. When her mother passed in 2022, Karyn decided to retire from her career as a middle school teacher, get her 200 hours yoga training, and embark on this beautiful next season of life. Teaching and sharing the practice with others has become her great joy! Karyn is married to her wonderful husband, Charles. She has two grown sons, Matthew, an engineer, and Cameron, a musician. Karyn and Charles love to travel and spend time working on their home. When not teaching yoga, Karyn loves art, painting and spending time with family and friends.
